The Association of Independent Passenger Rail Operators is pleased to announce that we are again participating as a National Co-Host Organization for the 5th Annual Transportation & Infrastructure Convention, March 7-9, 2011, in Washington, DC, on Capitol Hill.

The Convention is a three day event that last year attracted the most prestigious registrants and speakers from 25 states, nine countries and over 30 national and international trade associations and interest groups.  The purpose of the Convention is to educate policy makers on the current transportation and infrastructure issues at the local, state, and national levels. The Convention brings together the leading transportation and infrastructure officials from the current Administration, Congress, and State legislatures, providing us the opportunity to dialogue personally with those who have a direct influence on future policy decisions of the nation.

With the Convention just weeks away final details are coming together for a dynamic agenda. Several well-known and respected speakers have recently confirmed their plans to join us during the Convention to share their expertise. Among newly confirmed speakers are Polly Trottenberg, Assistant Secretary for Transportation Policy, U.S. Department of Transportation and Joseph Szabo, Administrator, Federal Railroad Administration. Other key Congressional and business influencers in the Transportation and Infrastructure field will include:

Corrine Brown, U.S. Congresswoman FL

Larry Bucshon, U.S. Congressman IN

Chaka Fattah, U.S. Congressman PA

Frank Guinta, U.S. Congressman NH
